A Reminder to Residents: As of March 1st 2019, Bulk pickup was changed. The 1st and 3rd Wednesday each month for residents South of Broadway and the 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month for residents North of Broadway. There is no pickup on the 5th Wednesday in any month.
In case there is no bulk pickup during a particular week, notice will be given in advance on social media and our web site.
Bulk should not be placed at the curb before 5PM of the day preceding the day of collection. No more than eight items of bulk waste, including containers and/or bags, may be left for collection on each appropriate Wednesday designated for pickup.
The disposal of mattresses has become a concern due to bedbugs being found on numerous occasions. To protect City workers, residents are required to wrap the mattresses and box springs in plastic sheets, secured with duct tape: Ord. 293-3M(5). They should be placed at the curb for pickup on the scheduled bulk day. Please do not place the items out at the curb more than 24 hours before the pickup. It is a violation of City code. When laying in the rain, they become very heavy to move.
Mattress that are not wrapped in plastic and secured with tape, will not be taken.

Starting September 1st, the Sanitation crews will no longer collect recyclables that are in plastic bags. Recyclables must be in a reusable container no more than 32 gal size. Recyclables found in plastic bags will not be collected.
The Monmouth County Reclamation Center will resume permitting resident access to the facility beginning Wednesday, May 20, 2020. The resident drop-off tent will be open on Wednesdays and Thursdays 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and Saturdays 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. Please note that in order to preserve resident and employee safety, a few changes have been made:
