In accordance with New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Local Finance Notice CFO-2000-14 private persons or entities requesting the services of police officers are required to submit payment based on estimates of the work to be done, in advance of services rendered.
Those entities, which require continuous service must maintain a minimum, balance in an amount to be determined by the City of Long Branch Finance Department. If there are insufficient funds, services could be cut off until the “escrow” fund is replenished.
The City of Long Branch Finance Department, Payroll Division, can only determine inquiries about hourly rates and/or payment amounts.
The City of Long Branch does NOT supply barricades, cones or any other traffic controlling devices. If traffic patterns are going to be altered a Traffic Control Plan must be completed and sent to the City of Long Branch Police Department Traffic Safety Bureau for approval before any work can be started.
