HOW TO OBTAIN AN MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH/ACCIDENT REPORT

NO information regarding the crash will be released until the report has been approved and sent to the Records Division. A minimum of 5-7 business days will be required before reports become available.

You may telephone AFTER seven business days to inquire if the report is ready and available.  Records Division telephone:  732-222-1000 x 1800

Reports occurring on or after October 1, 2016 may now be obtained via the web by visiting the following web-site: https://policereports.lexisnexis.com/

You will need the following information:

  • State in which accident occurred:  (NJ)
  • Jurisdiction:  Long Branch
  • First Name, Last Name, Date of Accident

The first time you use this site you will have to create an account.

If the accident occurred prior to October 1, 2016 a copy may be obtained directly from the:
