As the Summer Season is fast approaching us, the Long Branch Department of Public Safety wants to advise our community that there will be a zero-tolerance policy this Summer for not adhering to the Chapter 116 (Beaches) Ordinance that contains the following rules:
- No alcohol, smoking of tobacco, vapes or marijuana. Coolers and bags are subject to search.
- Beachgoers must purchase a beach badge for admittance.
- Beaches are open Dawn to Dusk hours only
- A special event permit is needed for large gatherings.
- No rough athletics on the beaches or in the waters adjacent
An increased police presence will be seen throughout the beachfront during these Summer months. Please note that all parking restrictions will also be strictly enforced. Those who do not adhere to the parking rules, will be ticketed and towed.
